How to Take Expensive Perfume on Vacation for Free

Whenever I pack for a trip or vacation, I always have a fear of my expensive perfume bottles getting broken.  I love perfume, and usually want to take it with me, but don’t want to risk breaking my favorite perfumes.

One day, as I was reading a magazine, a perfume sample dropped out, and it dawned on me that this would be the perfect solution for taking perfume safely on vacation!

Whenever I find one in a magazine or sales ad, I check to see if I like the scent. If so, I put it in my toiletry travel bag. By the time I’m ready for my next trip, I usually have a small stash accumulated so I have plenty of perfume samples to last my whole trip.

Now I have easy, light, and break-free travel perfume!

What do you do with those samples? Do you save them, too?

I save those free samples from magazines, too. But I use them in my drawers as sachets! I also slip men’s samples in between my husband’s undershirts. He won’t wear cologne so this is how I get him to smell good!

That’s so smart! Thanks! I also saw a travel perfume bottle called a Travalo. That might be another option for taking along a signature scent you own.

I don’t save the fragrance samples from magazines; however, I go to Nordstrom and get samples of perfume to take on vacation. Generally they will also make sample size of my favorite foundation and facial products so I can pack those as well.

  4. I like getting the samples from the department stores and I tend to take those with me if I can keep my 13yr old away from them. =)

I love your sweet comments...
