I wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter! This is the most meaningful day of the year for me, so I thought today I would share a little from my heart. Although much of the decor surrounding the Easter holiday is centered around bunnies and chicks, Easter is really a celebration of new life. New life given by the only One who can give life. The One who is powerful above all – even death. Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the day he overcame death and paid the punishment for my sin, for [...]

Last year, I wrote a series of posts called, The Twelve Days of Christmas Planning. I offered some printable planning pages, recipes, book suggestions and more. One of the most popular posts in that series was the list of Stocking Stuffer Ideas. There are more than 125 ideas separated into categories such as “Tot Stuffers, Kid Stuffers, Teen Stuffers, Dad Stuffers, Mom Stuffers, Anybody Stuffers, etc.” Given that it is July, I decided to celebrate “Christmas in July” with a little present to my fabulous subscribers! I made a Christmas printable with of all the stocking stuffer ideas listed in [...]
One of my very favorite holidays is the 4th of July. I’m from the Philly area, and Independence Day is a huge celebration there. It seems like there’s a parade in every town. I thought it was a holiday that Americans all over the country celebrated in a big way – until I moved away from Philly. Unfortunately, where I live now there isn’t a parade to be found for at least 30 miles. So, I decided this year I was going to bring some patriotism to my own home! I have a very long mantle in my family room [...]
The other day I posted about what I really want for Mother’s Day. I thought about all the cute gifts kids usually make for their moms and I got a bit sentimental thinking about the real “gifts” of our special day. So, instead of offering you more ideas for Mother’s Day gift giving, I thought I would share how I am spending the day with my family. We live far away from our extended family and don’t often get to celebrate holidays together. So my hubby and I have had to create new traditions, change old ones and plan ways [...]
Today is the most important and meaningful day of the year for me. It is the day I remember and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! He suffered and died on the cross for MY sins so that I don’t have to be punished and eternally separated from God when I die. He willingly accepted the punishment that I deserve. Yet, he conquered death and rose to life again! I am forever grateful. I wish you all a blessed Easter!
