My Easter Wish for You

Happy Easter

I wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter!  This is the most meaningful day of the year for me, so I thought today I would share a little from my heart. Although much of the decor surrounding the Easter holiday is centered around bunnies and chicks, Easter is really a celebration of new life.  New life given by the only One who can give life.  The One who is powerful above all – even death.  Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the day he overcame death and paid the punishment for my sin, for [...]

Mantle Decor ~ Patriotic Theme {with Free Printable}

clock

One of my very favorite holidays is the 4th of July.  I’m from the Philly area, and Independence Day is a huge celebration there.  It seems like there’s a parade in every town. I thought it was a holiday that Americans all over the country celebrated in a big way – until I moved away from Philly.  Unfortunately, where I live now there isn’t a parade to be found for at least 30 miles. So, I decided this year I was going to bring some patriotism to my own home! I have a very long mantle in my family room [...]

Our Mother’s Day

Mother's Day

The other day I posted about what I really want for Mother’s Day.  I thought about all the cute gifts kids usually make for their moms and I got a bit sentimental thinking about the real “gifts” of our special day. So, instead of offering you more ideas for Mother’s Day gift giving, I thought I would share how I am spending the day with my family. We live far away from our extended family and don’t often get to celebrate holidays together. So my hubby and I have had to create new traditions, change old ones and plan ways [...]

Happy Easter!

In Christ Alone

Today is the most important and meaningful day of the year for me. It is the day I remember and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! He suffered and died on the cross for MY sins so that I don’t have to be punished and eternally separated from God when I die. He willingly accepted the punishment that I deserve. Yet, he conquered death and rose to life again! I am forever grateful. I wish you all a blessed Easter!
